Pick and Roll Masterclass: Reads, Timing and Offensive Advantage

The BIT-LAB Pick and Roll Masterclass lesson is dedicated to understanding and effectively using one of the most decisive collaborations in modern basketball. The work focuses on pick-and-roll principles, spacing, the roles of the ball handler and screener, and the ability to read in real time what the defense gives or takes away.

During the session, the pick and roll will be analyzed both as a two-player action and as a team concept, with constant attention to timing, screening angles, offensive advantage and decision quality. The focus is not only on the technical execution of the action, but above all on the ability to interpret it correctly within the real context of 5-on-5 basketball.

The lesson also covers the main offensive reads against different defensive coverages, including drop, hedge and switch, helping each athlete develop greater clarity, faster reads and more effective decisions. The goal is to develop players who can use the pick and roll to create advantage, manipulate the defense and generate concrete solutions for themselves and their team.
